Pat Short is a senior business litigation attorney in Varner & Brandt's Riverside offices. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California and Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law. She enjoys zealously representing her clients in court and resolving complex legal disputes. During her years in practice, Pat has successfully tried many jury trials, focusing on personal injury and product liability cases, both plaintiff and defense.

Pat is also adept at settling cases, having presided over hundreds of arbitrations and settlement conferences as a volunteer for the Orange County Superior Court. Prior to joining Varner & Brandt, she was a staff attorney/supervisor for the San Bernardino Superior Court Legal Research Department, and she headed the staff counsel office of Chubb Group of Insurance Companies in Newport Beach, California.
