The Varner & Brandt, LLP family is proud to support The Charities & Inland Women Fighting Cancer Believe Walk

Varner Brandt team at charity walk

For nearly two decades, the Believe Walk has brought our community together to support people whose lives have been affected by cancer. Varner & Brandt is proud to continue supporting this important event—and the survivors, thrivers, families, caregivers and cancer-fighting organizations at the heart of it.

The 19th Annual Believe Walk will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, in Downtown Redlands. Participants will come together for a 5K walk filled with hope, remembrance and a shared commitment to improving cancer care throughout Southern California.

A Cause Close to Our Firm

Varner & Brandt has supported the Believe Walk since its beginning in 2008. The event also holds a deeply personal place in our firm’s history.

The late Nancy Varner co-founded the Believe Walk alongside Annie Sellas and Cathy Stockton. Brought together through their own experiences with cancer, the three women transformed friendship, encouragement and determination into a movement that continues to make a meaningful difference throughout the region.

Funds raised by the Believe Walk support local organizations that provide cancer treatment, education, wellness programs and essential services for patients and their families. It is a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community chooses to face a difficult challenge together.

Bark & Believe Is Back

Varner & Brandt is also proud to sponsor Bark & Believe, welcoming four-legged participants and the humans they bring along.

The Believe Walk is a dog-friendly event, and walkers are invited to stop by the Bark & Believe booth on State Street for treats and water. After all, fighting cancer is serious work—but that does not mean a few wagging tails cannot help along the way.

Join Us in Downtown Redlands

The 2026 Believe Walk begins at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 4, with check-in and late registration opening at 6:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies begin at 7:45 a.m., followed by the walk, survivor celebrations and the Believe Bash at the finish line.

We encourage our clients, colleagues, friends and neighbors to register, donate, volunteer or help spread the word.

Together, we can honor those we have lost, celebrate survivors and thrivers, support those currently facing cancer and continue believing in a future filled with greater hope, care and healing.
