Legal Assistant/Paralegal Estate Planning

An exciting opportunity is available in our Ontario, California office for an experienced legal assistant/paralegal with comprehensive estate planning knowledge and top-notch technical, communication and administrative skills. This position requires excellent technical, administrative, communication and organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well independently and with others in a team-oriented office environment.  Only candidates with a minimum of 3 years of recent law firm experience will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with their daily activities
  • Conduct research
  • Assist with the drafting and reviewing of estate planning documents
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Record and store client information

​Qualifications:

  • Must be an experienced Legal Secretary/Paralegal well versed in estate planning with 3+ years of experience
  • Must have a stable background, preferably with small to mid-size law firms
  • Familiarity with document management
  • Familiarity with legal research
  • Accounting knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess strong attention to detail and deadlines and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and document management systems strongly preferred.
