At Varner Brandt LLP, we believe in shaping the future of law by mentoring the next generation of legal professionals. Our eight-week Summer Associate Program offers law students the opportunity to gain real-world experience at one of the Inland Empire’s most established and respected law firms.

Our program reflects that legacy, offering a dynamic, hands-on experience where law students work closely with our attorneys on active matters, contribute to meaningful legal research and writing, and engage in professional development opportunities designed to build confidence and practical skills.
What We Offer
Professional Development
We offer workshops, speaker sessions, and networking opportunities throughout the program. Summer Associates gain a deeper understanding of the legal profession, firm culture, and the skills needed for long-term success as well as a greater understanding of how the legal profession can shape and impact our communities.
Substantive Work Experience
Summer Associates are assigned to matters across multiple practice areas, including business transactions, corporate law, real estate, labor & employment law, business litigation, public agency law, and estate planning. From researching complex legal issues to drafting memoranda and observing court proceedings, Summer Associates contribute to real work that makes a difference.
Firm Culture
We value our Summer Associates as colleagues. Whether through firm lunches, practice group roundtables, and social events, our Summer Associates experience the supportive and collaborative culture that defines Varner Brandt LLP.
Attorney Mentorship
Each Summer Associate is paired with experienced attorneys who serve as mentors - providing feedback, guidance, and insight into the practice of law at the highest level.
