  • Mr. Heyde is an attorney in the firm’s business and real estate transactions department. Along with his general business and real estate experience, Mr. Heyde has advised national, as well as regional financial institutions in all areas of banking operations. His practice includes deposit programs, Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance, negotiable instruments, new accounts, legal processes, payment systems, and electronic banking. Mr. Heyde has also worked with bank and non-bank issuers and sellers of prepaid debit cards and other stored value products. Most notable is his successful management of a multi-million dollar money transmitter licensing project involving every state. He is also experienced in the formation and corporate governance of financial institutions and other companies. He has assisted clients ;in the preparation of proxy statements and other annual meeting documentation, formation of holding companies and subsidiaries and related matters.

Recent Successes

  • In 2008, Mr. Heyde successfully completed a national licensing campaign for one of the fastest growing stored value card/money transmitter companies in the United States. The multi-million dollar transaction involved more than a year’s worth of preparation, negotiations, filings, and administrative hearings. Today the company is operating on a national level and flourishing in the emerging stored value card industry.
  • In January of 2009, Mr. Heyde assisted in the re-acquisition of a prominent regional paper products distribution company by the company's founding family. This transaction involved the sale of all of the company's assets, financial restructuring, complex redemption of shares, and the removal and appointment of a new management team.
